Chris is a senior financial services executive with over 25 years’ experience in derivatives, convertible arbitrage, convertible preferreds, corporate bonds, equities, and compliance. Chris was the founder of Garden City Capital which was a registered broker-dealer, specializing in convertible debt, corporate debt and equities. Some clients of Garden City Capital were Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Deutsche Bank. Chris sold Garden City Capital to Auriga USA LLC. Prior to owning his own business, Chris ran the institutional convertible bond broker desk for one of the largest corporate bond brokerage companies for ten years. He also worked as a senior convertible arbitrage trader for Harlan B. Korenvaes (who later founded HBK) at Merrill Lynch. Harlan recommended Chris via LinkedIn as “one of the best traders that he ever worked with and was always honest and forthright.” Prior to Merrill, Chris had previous roles at Montgomery Securities and Cowen and Company which focused on convertible bonds and convertible preferred.
Chris graduated from Jacksonville University with a major in marketing and minor in finance. He graduated with honors. Chris is married to his high school sweetheart, Brit. They have four children and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf. Chris is very passionate to help those suffering from substance abuse and mental health issues. He oversees each individual's financial background for Cycle For Recovery to make sure that we are properly helping that person.
